Sabiduro the badger
Erase una vez un tejón viejo que se llamaba Sabiduro. Vivió felizmente en su madriguera en los bosques tranquilos de la Hojabuena. Una víspera cálida se relajaba en su madriguera cuando algo le dio directo en la cabeza. Se sobresaltó de dolor y sorpresa. Fue una bellota que se le había escapado a una ardilla que pasaba por allí y quien estaba muy angustiada por su pérdida. Por suerte, al asomarse, Sabiduro divisó a la ardilla y le devolvió su bellota. «Muchas gracias señor Tejón», dijo la ardilla mientras enterraba su bellota para no perderla de nuevo. Sabiduro soltó una risita y dejó a la ardilla con sus asuntos.

Once upon a time there was an old badger called Sabiduro. He lived happily in his set in the peaceful woods of Hojabuena. One hot summer’s eve, he was resting in his burrow when something hit him square on the head. He startled in pain and suprise. It was an acorn that had escaped the grasp of a passing squirrel who was quite distressed at its loss. Luckily, on poking his head out, Sabiduro spotted the squirrel and returned his acorn to him. ‘Thank you ever so much Mr. Badger’, said the squirrel while hastily burying his acorn so as not to lose it again. Sabiduro chuckled to himself while leaving the squirrel to his business.
